We just completed the Mississippi Gulf Coast Pathways 2 Possibilities (P2P). This is a wonderful expo for South Mississippi 8th graders, and it gives them a glimpse into many career options. We participated in the Information Technology section, where we had Ozobots, Scratch programming and Graphic Design stations for the students. Over 8,000 students came through the MS Gulf Coast Convention Center over two days. The program also allows at-risk youth, ages 16 – 22 to tour the expo after school hours.
It was a lot of work, but very satisfying to see the kids learning and having fun. I’m looking forward to next year already. For more information on P2P, visit the website. You’ll find information on how to sponsor or volunteer, along with photos and videos from past years.
